The difference between giving a good impression and wowing people with a great impression are the finishing touches. The little things that add some “pop”. Going that extra mile to add some detail. It’s true when dressing for an important interview, designing a brand for a business and most off all when planning your wedding. The finishing touches are so important because it’s those additions that complete the wedding, be it finishing an outfit with jewellery, decorating the venue, decorating tables, make-up, hair, flowers…..the list goes on and the options are endless.
At Lovely Wedding Stuff we have one category of items that’s suitable for many of those endless options. Ribbons!
Ribbons are such a versatile material used primarily as decorative binding and tying. Cloth ribbons are made of natural materials such as silk, velvet, cotton, and jute and of synthetic materials, such as polyester, nylon, and polypropylene. Ribbons are used for a number of useful, ornamental, and symbolic purposes. Cultures around the world use ribbon in their hair, around the body, and as ornamentation on non-human animals, buildings, and packaging. Some popular fabrics used to make ribbons are satin, organza, sheer, silk, velvet, and grosgrain.
Wedding invitations & cards, table plans & numbers, favour boxes, chair backs, floral bouquets, church pews, ring pillows and centrepieces are all things that can be embellished with ribbons. You can also use ribbons to create hanging decorations, ribbon bouquets, headbands, ribbon belts, boutonnière and even drink flags. As I said, the options truly are endless.
Our ribbons can be broken down into 3 main categories: Single Colour and Decorative which can be found in the Ribbon & Lace section of the shop and Holiday which can be found in the Holiday section of the shop.
Now, on to the pictures!
