It’s October and Bridal Fashion Week in NYC has come and gone. It’s taken a bit of time to sort through the plethora of dresses that were on display during the runway show. To be honest some of that time was spent trying to pick my jaw up off the ground because there were just so many gorgeous dresses that blew me away. Now, I may not be a world famous Fashionista but I know what I like and I think I have pretty good taste (I hope). So I’ve managed to hunt through all the designers and picked a handful of my favourites and I want to share some of their beautiful creations with you.
First and foremost (because I have a huge designer crush on her)…
Hayley Paige: The term Fairytale is surely appropriate with Hayley’s latest collection.
A lovely video to see these dresses in all their glory!!
Monique Lhuillier: Floral embroidery, asymmetrical tiers, combinations of lace and silk and sheer illusion details bring whimsical to a whole new level in this Fall 2017 collection.
Sottero and Midgley: “Featuring alluring details, luxe fabrics and cutting-edge designs, Sottero and Midgley is inspired by the chic and glamorous bride,” says the designer.
Naeem Khan: Inspiration for this collection was based from the concept of the “International Bride”. With rich textures and embroideries including a silk and lace embroidered mini-dress with thigh-high embroidered boots, a collaboration with Christian Louboutin, Khan delivers an amazing collection of dresses.
Oscar de la Renta: A touch of timeless elegance, paring ultra-feminine details with modern-classic silhouettes.
A special Behind-The-Scene look at some final touches and accessories before the show
Marchesa: When inspiration for your new look comes from the Greek goddess of the dawn, Eos, you are bound to amaze with stunning, romantic gowns that modern brides will surely obsess over.
Inbal Dror: As always, Inbal Dror wows us with her romantic and sexy wedding dress designs for this season.
Sachin & Babi: From the designers….“Our Fall 2017 bridal collection is a continuation of the mood of our most recent ready to wear line – strength within grace. The collection is for a woman who already knows what she wants. We were fascinated by the idea of hand embroidered weddings gowns that were still light and effortless; to offer our bride a unique gown that allows her to celebrate with joie de vivre”.
I really hope you’ve enjoyed seeing all of these dresses. I know have!! I would love to hear which ones are your favourites and which designers not included here would you like to see me post about. There are plenty more to see and I’ll do my best to post about them as much as I can.
It’s been fun. I’ll see ya soon
